Cardigan Village Kindergarten offers combined education programs for 3 and 4 year old children within our wonderful facilities, surrounded by nature.

As a rural community, we focus on small group experiences, spending time exploring the environment and connecting with the world around us.

Environment

At Cardigan Village Kindergarten, your child will enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor activities as they explore and care for their environment, play on the equipment, and embark on imaginative adventures with their friends.

Our kindergarten features:

  • Planned and intentional indoor spaces
  • Sand pit
  • Pergola
  • Shade sail
  • A play area with climbing equipment
  • Gross motor play equipment for activities such as climbing, skipping, throwing and catching

Health and wellbeing

Being healthy feels good! We encourage children to eat well, play, be active, and encourage each other to take care of themselves and the environment. We do this by:

  • Teaching children about nutrition
  • Organising fun, energetic activities
  • Encourage recycling
  • Helping children make healthy choices and develop sustainable habits

Family and community

We work with families to purpose-build our programs to meet their needs and foster a sense of connection, community and belonging for all. Families can join their children in celebrating culturally important events, helping with fundraising activities, coming along on excursions, and spending time at the kindergarten.

We connect with the community by regularly engaging with:

  • The local primary school
  • Local service people (police, paramedic, nurse, fire and emergency services)
  • Indigenous community members or groups
  • Animal trainers or handlers
  • Farmers
