United Southport Kindergarten has been educating and caring for the children of the Port Phillip community since 1955.
Situated beside the local Uniting Church on a beautiful expanse of land, we offer age-appropriate kindergarten programs for children aged 3-4 who delight in fun, adventurous discovery and learning.
Building your child’s connection with the natural environment helps develop their sense of adventure and physical growth. Our enormous outdoor space includes a variety of hidden play areas that capture children’s imaginations. From our fairy garden, to our pet guinea pig Rex, our herb and vegetable patches to sustainable features, your children will enjoy endless learning adventures.

At Uniting Southport Kindergarten, children learn valuable skills such as recycling, composting, gardening to develop everyday sustainable practices. Exciting excursions to community-based organisations encourages socialisation and fosters relationships with the environment and people around them.
We take excursions that encourage children to care for the environment and world in which they live:
Children are involved in caring for our vegetable garden to help them develop healthy living practices early in life. Our cooking classes teach children about nutrition and food safety while introducing them to foods from different cultures.
All families are encouraged to participate in their child’s early learning experience, whether through cultural celebrations, talking to the children, volunteering their time, or getting involved in the parent advisory committee. We believe family and community involvement enriches your child’s understanding of the outside world, so we strive to engage with local groups, services, and activities at every opportunity.
